The Story
I literally gasped so loud when I stepped onto the Red Square that a security guard gave me the side-eye, but honestly, the drama of Moscow is just unmatched! Arriving in the Russian capital felt like stepping into a high-budget film set where every building is trying to out-slay the other with gold leaf and history. The vibe is totally 'imperial chic' mixed with some serious Soviet grit, and I was absolutely living for the aesthetic chaos of it all.
My itinerary was a total whirlwind of culture and calories, starting with the Kremlin where I saw the most jaw-dropping Faberge eggs—literally the original girlie accessories. I spent ages wandering around St. Basil’s Cathedral, which looks exactly like a giant gingerbread house in person, before heading to the Bolshoi Theatre for some world-class ballet that made me want to trade my trainers for pointe shoes.
