The Story
Oh my days, Lagos was absolutely mental in the best way possible! I honestly didn't know what to expect, but the energy was just through the roof from the second I touched down. It’s loud, it’s vibrant, and it’s honestly the most chaotic fun I’ve had in ages—I was proper obsessed with the vibe!
My days were spent living my best life, starting with a trek across the canopy walk at the Lekki Conservation Centre where I actually spotted a cheeky monkey. I also spent an entire afternoon getting lost in the stalls at Yaba, hunting for some gorgeous pre-loved gems to spice up my wardrobe. When I wasn't busy haggling for fabric, I was stuffing my face with the most delicious local food or soaking up the sun at Elegushi Beach. The nights were just as wild, with the city honestly never sleeping; we were out until the early hours at the clubs, and the music scene is just something else.
Overall, it was a proper splurge-worthy holiday, but you can definitely make it work on a mid-range budget if you’re smart about it. It’s the perfect trip if you’re looking for a mix of culture, shopping, and non-stop partying. I’m already plotting my return because, honestly, my yansh is still recovering from all the dancing!
